THIBODAUX – Larry Howell, interim executive vice president at Nicholls State University, has officially been selected as executive vice president, contingent upon the approval of the Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System.

THIBODAUX – Veterans of the United States Armed Forces who reside in southeast Louisiana are invited to contribute their stories to an oral history project at Nicholls State University.

Dr. Marilyn Macik-Frey, assistant dean of the College of Business Administration and assistant professor of management, received Nicholls State University’s Academic Council Salutes award for October 2011.

THIBODAUX – In memory of Robyn Adele Ford, a Nicholls State University education student who passed away this week after a battle with cancer, the Nicholls College of Education has joined Ford’s family in establishing a memorial scholarship for high-achieving students who have also contended with the disease.

THIBODAUX – Four-term Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards will join Dr. Christopher E. Cenac Sr., Houma physician, for a book-signing and dinner program on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Nicholls State University. Hosted by the Nicholls Foundation, the event will benefit the Ellender Memorial Library Archives.

THIBODAUX – Musicians with the Nicholls State University Department of Music’s strings program will perform two free concerts this month, both open to the public.
