Professor of Nursing
Students can expect to learn more than what’s in the textbook in Dr. Linda Manfrin-Ledet’s courses. She’s a living reference book with more than 22 years of experience as a registered nurse in Louisiana.
Manfrin-Ledet began as a nurse at River Oaks Psychiatric Hospital in Harahan in 1984 before accepting a job at DePaul Hospital in New Orleans in 1989. There she became the program director of the Residential Treatment Program for Child and Adolescent Services. She also worked as a home healthcare staff nurse for six years.
Manfrin-Ledet’s areas of specialization include mental health, HIV prevention in women and prevention and intervention in violence and abuse against women. She has been at Nicholls since 1998.
