Michelle Patterson
![]() |
Assistant Professor of Nursing
Just because Michelle Patterson spends most of her day in the classroom doesn’t mean she’s retired her scrubs. Helping deliver babies is too fulfilling to give up.
When she has extra time, Patterson keeps up her clinical skills by working as a nurse in Labor and Delivery at either Terrebonne General or Chabert medical centers in Houma. Before coming to Nicholls State University, Patterson worked as a labor and delivery charge nurse at Chabert for three years.
When Patterson isn’t teaching or taking care of expectant mothers, she’s spending time with her husband, two children and extended family. She also enjoys reading and scrapbooking.
