Nicholls State University College of Nursing and Allied Health, Department of Nursing Announces Fall 2008 Mandatory Nursing Information Sessions

The Department of Nursing has announced the Fall 2008 schedule of Nursing Information Sessions for those students intending to apply for entry into the BSN clinical sequence for the Spring or Exceptional Summer session 2009. Students who will complete the first 36 hours of the BSN curriculum by the end of this Fall semester with a minimum GPA of 2.75 are eligible to apply. Potential applicants should report to 351 Betsy C. Ayo Hall to sign up for a session. Sessions will be held throughout October and November and generally last 45 minutes.
Some important considerations:
• The first 36 credit hours of the BSN curriculum must be completed by Fall 2008.
• Application GPA will be calculated using only these 36 credit hours.
• All courses in the first 36 hours must be passed with a minimum grade of “C.”
• All applicants must attend a Nursing Information Session to obtain an application.

Applications are due by December 8, 2008 at 4:00 pm. All official grades should be available in the university computer system by December 11, 2008. Questions regarding the sessions may be directed to the Department of Nursing at 448-4695. Nursing Information Sessions are scheduled at the following dates and times:
October 2nd @ 3:00pm
October 7th @ 8:00am and 3:00pm
October 8th @ 7:30am and 2:00pm
October 15th @ 7:30am
October 16th @ 3:00pm
October 21st @ 12:00 Noon
October 23rd @ 12:00 Noon
October 29th @ 7:30am
November 4th @ 9:00am
November 6th @ 3:00pm
November 12th @ 9:45am
November 18th @ 9:00am
November 20th @ 3:00pm (Last Session)
