Dana Aucoin
Administrative Assistant
Dana Aucoin has served as an administrative assistant within the School of Fine Arts –Division of Music at Nicholls since September of 1997. In her role, Aucoin provides administrative support to the Pride of NSU Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Blue Bayou Big Band (Jazz Band), Sixth Man Band (Basketball Band), Colonelettes Dance Team, Pride of NSU Colorguard, NSU Concert Choir, Nicholls Chamber Singers and NSU Gospel Choir.
Additionally, Aucoin assists in planning clinics, concerts and special events such as Music at Madewood and Nicholls Chamber Singers’ Christmas Dinners. She assists with the coordination of LMEA band and choral festivals, Colonelettes Mini-Dance Camps and Colonelettes auditions. She also assists with reservations for Talbot Theater.
Aucoin serves as the financial adviser for Sigma Alpha Iota, a music fraternity for women, and is a member of the committee that selects the Student Employee of the Year.
Aucoin graduated from Nicholls in the Fall 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a child, family and social service concentration. Aucoin also earned a minor in addictive behaviors.
