PROJECT OVERVIEW

Years 1-5 (1998-2002): ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS AS A STRATEGIC TOOL IN THE SYSTEMIC REFORM OF SCIENCE TEACHING. Secondary school science teachers learn about environmental analysis using TI-CBL (Texas Instruments Calculator-Based Laboratory) technology and new teaching strategies while earning graduate credit in science.
Details: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002

Year 6 (2002-2003): Teaching modules aligned with Louisiana Content Standards are taught to Grades 5-8 science teachers.  The Learning Cycle approach is modeled during the summer workshop.  Teachers develop their own modules during the academic year.
