Who am I?

Hi there everyone.  I am Melanie Mills and I am a 4th year teacher at Ellender Memorial High School in Houma, Louisiana.  I have taught Biology II inclusion, Biology I, and Physical Science.  In the 2000-2001 school year I will be teaching Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and Physics.

What I hope to gain from this workshop.

I am very excited about the LaSIP Summer 2000 program.  I am hoping that I will come away from this experience with much more knowledge of the CBL system and the TI graphing calculators.

How I plan to use what I gained from this workshop.

I plan to definitely do a LOT of the water quality experiments that we did in LaSIP while teaching chemistry next year.  Of course I will have to find a nice body of water to test, but I think that the students will enjoy it no matter what we test.

My Projects

My module is about...the electrical conductivity of various sport drinks.
