Dr. Carmen Broussard

Associate Professor of Psychology

Prior to joining the Nicholls staff in 2001, Dr. Carmen Broussard worked in public school settings for eight years. She is currently licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychology with a declared specialty area in school psychology.

Broussard has published research concerning the functional assessment of disruptive classroom behavior and curriculum-based assessment of young children. Her current research interests include reinforcer assessment and school-based interventions with young children regarding academic and behavior needs.

“My projects center me in the live classroom, interacting with children and grown-ups throughout their school day,” Broussard says.

Broussard enjoys spending her spare time outdoors.
