This webquest was created for middle / high school students, but could be easily modified for 4th-5th grade students. The quest's focus is primarily in the Earth science content area, however, research, writing, and presentation skills make this a viable language arts lesson.

Before beginning the webquest, students should be able to:

• Create a basic Power Point presentation
• Conduct simple searches using directories or seach engines
