Intramural sports are “non-varsity” competitions between students. They are fun, friendly, but challenging competitions which require no outstanding athletic skills. They are designed and offered to “everyday athletes.” Only a positive attitude is required to play.
Current Nicholls students and Nicholls faculty and staff with membership to the rec center are eligible for competition.
The Office of Campus Recreation offers six organized intramural sports leagues. Intramural volleyball, kickball, and flag football are offered in the fall semesters, and intramural basketball, soccer, and softball are offered in the spring. The leagues will last for 5 weeks of play plus playoffs.
There are other tournament style events including: Ultimate Frisbee, Wii Bowling, Badminton, Indoor Soccer, Dodgeball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Wallyball, 3pt. Contest, Free Throw Shootout, and Home Run Derby.
