SEALS Events
SEALS is a campus organization of students interested in educating and empowering fellow students to make responsible decisions on their paths to total wellness. We accomplish our goals through:
Awareness Activities
During each semester, SEALS sponsors various activities and awareness campaigns in an effort to promote healthy choices. Examples of awareness activities include:
- Safe Spring Break Week
- Red Ribbon Week
- Alcohol Awareness Week
- Health and Wellness week
- Sexual Responsibility Week
- Great American Smoke Out
- Sexual Assault Awareness
- National Condom Days
- Black History Month
Educational Presentations
Members of SEALS provide team presentations both on and off campus. Presentations are generally 30 minutes in length and are a combination lecture/interactive sessions on these topics:
- Substance abuse
- Conflict resolution
- Sexual assault
- Effective communication
- Interpersonal relationships
- Drinking and driving
- Date rape
- Self-esteem

Social Events
SEALS also hosts social events that promote healthy lifestyle choices, offer students a chance to become involved and help prevent student apathy. Examples of these events include:
- Hakuna Matata
- Homecoming events
- Mocktail parties
- Stress-free midterm day
- Anti-apathy Easter egg hunt
- Valentine’s Day poetry contest
- Recreational outings
- Annual awards banquet
