Welcome to the Department of Student Teaching at Nicholls State University. All of your teacher education courses have led up to this moment.
The student teaching semester will be your best preparation for a future in education. The experience allows you to work hands-on with students and interact with teachers daily.
This department coordinates your student teaching semester by placing you in an area public school with a supervising teacher who will serve as your mentor. Nicholls has agreements with school systems to provide excellent, qualified supervising teachers who are eager to help shape future teachers like you.
Student teaching allows you to LEARN how to be effective in the classroom, LIVE out the life of a teacher and LEAD students to academic success. We invite you to LEARN, LIVE, LEAD in the Department of Student Teaching.
