Dr. Cynthia Vavasseur

Dr. Cynthia B. Vavasseur has experience in a vast array of educational
fields.  Dr. Vavasseur began her career teaching both elementary and middle grades in Ascension Parish, before slightly changing career paths.  Dr. V then served as an adjunct instructor at LSU, an Educational Technology Specialist with the Louisiana State Board of Education, and a program director of Education at a local Community College.

Dr. V. joined the Nicholls State University Faculty in 2008, where she has specialized in the Integration of Technology for Teachers.   She has multiple journal articles and book publications on technology professional development for teachers, and school leadership concerning technology.

Dr. V has 3 beautiful kiddos: Christian age 10, Avery age 8 and Gabriel age 5. “We live next door to my mom and dad, who are my best friends in the world. We are DisneyWorld fanatics (we go every Thanksgiving with my mom and dad) and love indoor waterparks. My husband is a Mechanical Engineer with BP. In my spare time, I love to run, play outside with my kiddos and go to movies. I am definite tech nerd and always want the latest gadgets.
