French Education
To older generations, Louisiana’s French culture is alive and well. The opposite is true for most high school students. The preservation of this culture lies in the hands of French teachers.
The Nicholls French education program prepares majors to teach future students not only the French language but also about French culture, civilization, literature and its influence on Louisiana.
The curriculum includes both education courses and French courses offered through the Nicholls Department of Languages and Literature.
