Dr. Paulette Rodrigue
Professor of Education and Director of Student Teaching
Dr. Paulette Rodrigue grew up in a family of teachers. Education was so interwoven in her life that as a child she thought everyone who attended college became a teacher.
Despite her misunderstanding, Rodrigue never regretted her choice to continue the family tradition. Neither did her husband or daughter, who both chose education as their profession.
Rodrigue joined the Nicholls staff in 1989 and now serves as both a professor of education and director of student teaching.
“What I enjoy most about my job is meeting young people who are eager to become part of the teaching profession,” Rodrigue says.
In her spare time, Rodrigue enjoys reading, gardening, camping and traveling to new places.
