nsu_1404.JPGNicholls Education Association of Teachers, also known as NEAT, is a campus organization that provides pertinent information to students regarding the teaching profession and the progression of study in the College of Education.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
Membership is open to all students in the College of Education.

COST:
NEAT dues are $2.

ACTIVITIES:
NEAT meetings are held monthly. Members should check the NEAT board in the College of Education downstairs in Polk Hall near the LRC for meeting dates. Meeting topics include “Praxis” and “Preparing for Student Teaching.” For the first meeting of each semester, the dean of the college makes a presentation, and a forum is held with faculty members each semester. NEAT also participates in Family Day and attempts to show appreciation to the Department of Teacher Education.
