Rental Procedures and Policies

The NSU Post Office offers rental boxes to the students and staff, as well as other clients at various rental rates.

Rental rates are as follows:

Students and Staff $25.00

Retirees/Graduate Students $25.00

Student Organizations $25.00

NSU Campus Departments $35.00

Agencies/Programs $40.00

Customers $40.00

Students who wish to acquire a post office box should add the fee to their invoice, either with an advisor or during the registration process. The fee will be charged along with your tuition and other fees. After paying your fees, students should bring their paid receipt to the Post Office to receive box assignments. Students must be activated in order to receive a P.O. Box.

Boxes are either combination key entry. If you request a key entry box, a $5.00 deposit is required for the key. The deposit is to be paid at the Post Office and will be returned to you once the key is returned. The key must be the key issued to you and matches the box assigned to you. There is no deposit for combination boxes, but a $5.00 fee is required for retrieval of combinations or lost combinations. Customers can share combination boxes. To share a box, both individuals must be present at the time the box is assigned. Proper identification is required and each person is charged the rental fee.

Please be reminded that packages will only be released to the person that is listed as the addressee. Packages will not be released otherwise, without permission from the contracted postal supervisor.
