For some people, it takes a good cup of coffee to kick start the day. But working with freshmen in the hustle and bustle of a college campus is enough to energize Cathy Richard.
Richard began working at Nicholls in 1996 teaching remedial reading. A few years later, she began teaching UNIV 101 and was certified as a Master Advisor by the National College Advising Association.
“Our program’s greatest strength is the extreme dedication our faculty has for helping students through advising,” Richard says. “We function as a family. We share, we help and we care for one another.”
In her spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Reece, and her new puppy, Sadie.
