Program Services
The Nicholls Upward Bound program provides the following services to its participants:
- Instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, literature, composition, computers, foreign language, study skills and other subjects necessary for successful completion of high school and college
- Academic, financial and personal counseling
- Interpersonal skills development
- Exposure to cultural events
- Tutorial services
- Assistance in completing college admissions testing, college admissions applications and financial aid applications
- Information on postsecondary education opportunities and financial aid assistance
- Exposure to a range of career options where minorities and women might be underrepresented
- Six-week summer residency institute at Nicholls State University
