Wellness Programs

Wellness Education offers a variety of programs for faculty, staff and students, including:
- It Pays to Quit! – Freedom From Smoking cessation clinics are offered each fall and spring semester to students, faculty and staff. The trainings are provided by the American Lung Association through a grant from the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living. Call 985.493.2608 to participate.
- I AM Worth It! — This healthy lifestyle change program will offer nutritional, fitness, behavioral, emotional and peer support for those looking to lose weight, get fit or develop healthier habits. I AM Worth It! began in March 2008.
- Positively Speaking — This e-mail message campaign promotes healthy habits, positive thinking and a new attitude.
- Alcohol and Other Drug Coalition — This group of students, faculty and staff review and recommend the university’s alcohol and other drug policy changes and improvements.If you are interested in being part of the coalition and having your voice heard, please email us at wellness@nicholls.edu
