Founded in 1984, Hallym University is now one of the top-ranked universities of South Korea, with the mission of “cultivating students of rich character and creative thinking, and of advancing academic and cultural promotion.” The city of Chunchean, located 50 miles northeast of Seoul, is a modern industrial city and one of the most beautiful natural sceneries in South Korea. Boarded by various rivers and lakes, Chuncheon is a culturally rich city, but also a sports capital (waterskiing, golf, skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking…). Hallym University offers international students a great academic experience in an exotic environment.

Located in the heart of the city of Chuncheon, Hallym University’s campus is modern and welcoming. Offering sports facilities (playground, tennis courts, fitness center, golf-practice range, traditional Korean wrestling ring), a health center, a student union with a dining hall serving traditional Korean food, a snack shop, and student organizations. The University Dormitory Complex includes 8 dormitory facilities.
There are seven dormitories, accommodating about 1,800 students. Each building is equipped with lounges, study rooms, a music room and a general fitness center.
Visiting exchange students can also live in the Hallym International Dormitory along with Korean students wishing to improve their language skills.
1. Complete a Study abroad Application form.
2. Meet with your academic adviser to get approval for study abroad exchange program.
3. Turn in the application at International Student Services in the office Student Union 18 (student life).
