The Department of Allied Health Sciences has achieved 100 percent accreditation of all programs which are mandated for national accreditation. This distinction ensures that the quality of education received in any of the allied health programs is of the highest standards. The allied health sciences programs provide the education and skills needed to excel in today’s health care market.
- The athletic training program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education.The Nicholls State University Athletic Training program as applied for voluntary withdrawal of its accreditation to be effective May 2018. The program has been placed on Probation as of February 19, 2016 by the CAATE, 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. - The Didactic Program in Dietetics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) (120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 1.800.877.1600 extension 5400).
