Rusty Paul Bouvier is a New Orleans based artist from Lockport, LA. After receiving his BFA in Sculpture from Nicholls State University in 2009, he became the Community Development Coordinator for the Houma Regional Arts Council in Houma, LA. In 2012, he moved to Dallas,TX to work as a production artist for Mecca Design & Production, Inc. Mecca’s clientele included Coco Chanel, Old Navy, Microsoft, World of Warcraft, AT&T, NFL, and YouTube. He was also the resident artist and Interim Creative Director for Nerv Gallery. He founded his studio, Night Owl Studio, LLC, in 2016 in New Orleans and continues to produce custom woodwork. His work is available for purchase at Zele NOLA, Coutelier NOLA, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and www.nightowlstudiollc.com.
He is currently a carpenter for Solomon Group in New Orleans and is building museum installations. Recent projects with Solomon Group include The National WW2 Museum (Arsenal of Democracy), Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Jaguar Jungle at the Audubon Zoo, College Football Playoffs, NFL Draft, ESSENCE Festival and Voodoo Arts and Music Experience”.
