Performing Arts Camp

Sign up your up-and-coming singers, actors, and dancers to perform in our Performing Arts Camp. Youth will have daily classes in various topics related to theater such as lighting, sound, hair and makeup, costume, construction, improvisation, comedy, music, etc…

This year, we are very excited to announce we will once again offer two sessions.

Session 1: June 6 – July 1, 2016   The Unexpected Quest by Cheyenne Miller

Two friends embark on a magical quest to stop the curse of an evil witch, but after finding new friends, our heroes discover there may be more to the curse than they expected,  than just good and evil. This play is an original work by camp counselor and Nicholls Creative writing student Cheyenne Miller.

Session 2: July 5-29, 2016 The Tempest by William Shakespeare

A wizard who lives on a remote island, plots to retake the kingdom by conjuring a storm, and causing a shipwreck. The play follows the lives of those on the ship and the magical creatures on the island who all eventually find redemption. This year marks the 400 year anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, so come celebrate this momentous occasion with a children’s adaptation of his final work.
