Campus Update: Smart and Safe

Dear Colonel Family,

Attached you will find guidelines for returning to campus safely. For those returning to work on Tuesday, May 26, please familiarize yourself with these over the long weekend. If you are questioning whether you should return to work on Tuesday, please consult your supervisor.

I know returning to work can be both exciting and scary. While we cannot eliminate all risks of your contracting COVID-19 at work, I assure you that we are exceeding all federal, state, and local guidelines, and employing best practices from around the country, in our efforts to keep you safe.

If you have concerns or questions about the attached guidelines, please talk to your supervisor. If you have suggestions on how to improve upon them before the start of summer classes on Monday, June 1, please contact Director of Environmental Health & Safety Office Brian Clausen. If you conclude that we are falling short in any area, contact me.

May the Memorial Day Weekend remind us all of the sacrifices made to keep us free and serve as a bridge from an time of uncertainty and fear to one of hope and anticipation of a better tomorrow.

Be smart. Be safe, Be well. And Geaux Colonels.
