All online students should read and adhere to the guidelines set up by Nicholls State University when taking an online course. These are detailed in Nicholls Student Guidelines for Online Classes.Moodle is the course management system that Nicholls uses to delivery most of its online courses. LibrariesThe Library Home Page has a link to a specific webpage dedicated to distance education students.  This webpage contains tutorials on accessing the library from home, finding and using electronic books, using the electronic research databases, emailing a reference librarian, and other useful information. The page also offers a direct contact with reference librarian through e-mail or telephone.

Tutoring Assistance

The Tutorial and Academic Enhancement Center (TAEC) offers help to online students who are not able to visit the Center in person.  The staff of the TAEC has created an email address for online students to use to seek help in their course work.  Emails submitted to the TAEC are returned by a tutor within 48 hours or less.  For more information, please see this link:  The TAEC also offers students  a variety of  learning resouces available on their website at
