Letter from the EMBA Director

Kevin Breaux, Ph.D., Executive MBA Director and Associate Professor of Accounting.

Dear Prospective Executive MBA Candidate:

Today’s business world is complex. Even more daunting will be the business world of tomorrow. Professionals are constantly confronted with the pressures of working in an environment where competition, global issues and technology change daily.

The Executive Master of Business Administration program at Nicholls State University is designed to give you the knowledge and skills needed to conquer those challenges without interrupting your career. The curriculum focuses on real-world application of business concepts, providing you with the tools needed to move your organization forward.

The EMBA program was created to meet the needs of working professionals. Strictly online programs lack the spontaneous and rich interaction that can only be gleaned from face-to-face discussions. On the other hand, programs delivered entirely in a traditional classroom format lack flexibility and convenience. Our hybrid delivery approach maximizes the best of both instruction methods. Individuals in the EMBA program complete about half of the coursework online on their own schedule while still learning through face-to-face interactions approximately every other Saturday.

EMBA faculty members bring an outstanding combination of business and academic credentials to the classroom, not to mention the diverse experiences brought by fellow classmates. Enrollment in the EMBA program is limited to 15 individuals to encourage collaboration and promote a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences.

The College of Business Administration is confident that the Nicholls EMBA program will help you achieve professional growth and contribute to the long-term success of your organization. We are excited to bring a program of this caliber to the Bayou Region, and invite you to join us.
