{"id":5090,"date":"2026-03-06T20:23:46","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T20:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/financial-aid\/?page_id=5090"},"modified":"2026-08-26T16:36:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T16:36:15","slug":"transfer-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/financial-aid\/scholarships\/transfer-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Transfer Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Transfer scholarships are available to students admitted to the university with at least 18, but no more than 90, transferable credit hours and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered, you\u2019ll need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/admissions\/apply\">Apply for admission<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Submit all transcripts from previous schools (including any dual enrollment not taken at Nicholls)<\/li>\n<li>Be admitted for consideration by\n<ul>\n<li><strong>July 31st<\/strong> if your intention is to begin in the fall semester<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 15th<\/strong> if your intention is to begin in the spring semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students awarded a transfer scholarship must earn at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher to continue receiving the award for the second semester. Failure to meet either requirement may result in the loss of the scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Students returning to Nicholls do not qualify.\u00a0 This scholarship is not open to those who have already earned a bachelor&#8217;s degree.\u00a0 Transfer students must be eligible to return to their previous school(s).<\/p>\n<p>Transfer scholarship awards are based on the admissions record and academic information on file at the time of admission.
