Ruth Chiasson, BS, Resource Assistant, has been employed with the center since 2005 and also manages the Family Resource Center where she trains Family and Consumer Sciences students on community resources and operating the toll-free resource hotline. She enjoys assisting the students in acquiring resource knowledge and also assisting individuals in the community to locate the appropriate community resource for their needs.
In her spare time, Mrs. Chiasson enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and volunteering for HOPE for Animals. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child, Family, Social Services from Nicholls State University.
