Provisional Admissions

Students who apply by the deadline but are still in the process of obtaining transcripts or copies of their teaching certificates (a requirement for most education programs) may be granted provisional admission. If all admission requirements are not met within 30 days or if provisionally admitted students are found ineligible for admission, they will be dropped from the rolls of Graduate Studies, and fees will not be refunded. The student’s dean may grant waivers to such students to allow the completion of the current semester but enrollment for subsequent semesters will not be permitted at the graduate level until all admissions criteria have been met.

Nursing – Provisional Status: Applicants who meet all criteria for admission except GRE formula score of 1200 or 340 may seek admission as provisional status. To remove provisional status, a “B” or better must be earned in each graduate -level course in the first nine (9) hours. A grade of C,D, or F in any course attempted during the 9 hours in provisional status will result in dismissal from the program.
