Please Consider Helping South Louisiana Through United Way

Last year, our United Way for South Louisiana fundraising campaign generated over $1 million in donations, which helped 24 agencies across a 4-parish region provide assistance to thousands of individuals and families within our communities. For many, the donations they receive through the United Way Campaign sustains their benevolent work within the community.

At the beginning of every year, the United Way for South Louisiana typically sends representatives to Nicholls State University seeking annual contributions to support various programs under their umbrella. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, a representative will not be personally visiting Nicholls this year. As a result, please note the following:

  • For employees already making monthly contributions through payroll deduction and wishing to continue the contributions at the same amount, no action would be needed. Contributions and payroll deductions will roll over into the next year.
  • For employees already making monthly contributions and wishing to make changes to the contribution and payroll deduction, please complete a new United Way enrollment pledge card. These will be distributed to departments for your convenience.
  • For employees and others wishing to begin making new contributions to United Way of South Louisiana, enrollment pledge cards will be distributed to departments for your convenience.
  • United Way enrollment pledge cards are being placed in departmental mail boxed, located in Picciola Hall. All completed pledge cards should be returned to the Office of Human Resources.
