Nicholls Welcomes Living Learning Communities to Campus

This Fall, Nicholls will introduce the Honors Program Living Learning Community (LLC), with two more LLCs planned for the Colonels Retention of Winners Network and Colonel Catholics. The Honors LLC debuted Spring 2020 in Scholars Hall but has been interrupted by COVID-19 restrictions.

Former Dean of Education Passes Away

Dr. Phillip “Spike” Bergeron passed away on May 13. He was 92 years old. Dr. Bergeron taught physical education, anatomy and statistics at Nicholls for more than four decades. The last 11 years he served as dean of education.

Sign Up For Fishing, Golf Tournaments that Support Nicholls

Sign up today for the ninth annual Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo fishing and golf tournaments. The golf tournament will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11 at the Atchafalaya at Idlewood Golf Course. The weigh-in for the fishing tournament will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 12 at the Morgan City Auditorium. Some proceeds from the tournament will benefit Nicholls.

The Tutorial and Academic Enhancement Center is seeking undergraduate peer tutors and writing coaches for the Fall 2021 semester. Qualified applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and a grade of A or B in or placement out of courses they wish to tutor.
