Rouses Markets Establishes Endowed Culinary Scholarships at Nicholls

Each of the scholarships is named after a legend within Rouses’ history and in the grocery industry: Leroy Theriot and Anthony Rouse, Sr.


Morgan City Restaurateurs Rename Student Lounge at Chef John Folse Culinary Institute

The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute will rename its student lounge and culinary library in honor of Morgan City restaurateurs Brenda and Gregory Hamer, Sr.


WELCOME TO NICHOLLS:

Darion Brown, as an assistant men’s basketball coach (July 1).
Shaun Marquase Lovings, as an assistant football coach (June 1).

Bistro Ruth Blue Plate is Back!

The Chef John Folse Culinary institute is pleased to reintroduce the Bistro Ruth Blue Plate.  This is an experiential course to give our students the opportunity to complete their sophomore internship course.

Led by Chef Jana Billiot, our students will prepare two family-style meal options for you to take home and reheat throughout June. All meals will contain 4 servings at a total cost of $40. Dessert will be an option for an additional $10.  We will accept checks, payable to Nicholls State University, or exact cash only when you come to pick up your order.

Sign Up For Fishing, Golf Tournaments that Support Nicholls

Sign up today for the ninth annual Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo fishing and golf tournaments. The golf tournament will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11 at the Atchafalaya at Idlewood Golf Course. The weigh-in for the fishing tournament will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 12 at the Morgan City Auditorium. Some proceeds from the tournament will benefit Nicholls.
