Nicholls Art Student Earns Best in Show from National Exhibit

Nicholls State University Art student Lila Thomas (BA ‘21) received Best in Show for her oil painting, “Sunday Afternoon” from The Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center in Cincinnati during their national exhibition, Rites of Passage.

The Nicholls State University Nursing program is one of the best values in the country according to recently published rankings published by Nursing Degree Search.

Congrats to Nicholls Delta Zeta!

The Kappa Alpha Chapter of the Delta Zeta Sorority at Nicholls State University was awarded the Crest Award at the 54th National Convention. The Crest Award is given to outstanding college chapters who have excelled consistently in all areas of college programming. 

Allie Dominique received the Grace Mason Lundy Award. The Grace Mason Lundy Award is presented to a senior member of Delta Zeta who throughout their college years have given greatest evidence of loyalty, devotion and service to their chapters and to the Sorority. 

Symphony Brown received the Florence Hood Minor Award. The Florence Hood Minor Award is given to a member of Delta Zeta who in their junior year made the greatest contribution to their college, chapter and Delta Zeta through outstanding leadership on the campus while maintaining a good academic record.

Support the United Way

Every year, Nicholls State University and the United Way for South Louisiana work together to collect donations of school supplies to provide full backpacks for elementary, middle and high school students from low-income families in the Bayou Region. 

Drop boxes will be set up around campus. The most needed supplies are crayons, pencils, colored pencils, scissors, loose leaf paper, spiral notebooks, binders, glue sticks, rulers, construction paper, pencil bags and school bags.
