Nicholls State University has named Dr. Michele Caruso vice president for student affairs, pending approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.

Houma Today: Nicholls awarded grant to create cybersecurity training program

The Delta Regional Authority has awarded Nicholls State University $150,000 to establish a cybersecurity and cyber-defense training program.

Nicholls Named Hidden Gem of the Southeast by College Raptor

An online education resource has dubbed Nicholls State University as a Hidden Gem of the Southeast.

Welcome to Nicholls:
Rachel Faucheaux, as an accounting technician for payroll and grants (Dec. 1).
Philip Percle, as a maintenance repairer for maintenance (Nov. 30).

Changes:
Michelle Patterson, from assistant professor to assistant professor and continuing nursing professional development program coordinator (Jan. 1).
Stephen Sparks, from police officer to police investigator for University Police (Dec. 1).

Retirement:
Sabrina Laurent as director of student engagement for campus recreation after 30 years of service (Jan. 8).

Financial Aid Offering Hardship Fee Exemption

Nicholls has established a procedure for determining which students may receive a Hardship Fee Exemption for certain fees. For more information, click here. Students who wish to apply for the exemption must complete the Application for Hardship Fee Exemption, which is available at the Office of Financial Aid or here. The deadline to submit the application to the Office of Financial Aid is January 15. Current recipients do not need to reapply for Spring 2021.

Events include guest chefs, the 11th annual Celebration of the Negro Spiritual concert, healthcare and mental health advice and the musical, “Hairspray.” We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the many interesting events.
