Emeril Lagasse Foundation is a 501c (3) public charity headquartered in\u00a0New Orleans<\/strong><\/b>. Our mission is to create opportunities to\u00a0inspire, mentor and enable youth to reach their full potential through culinary, nutrition, and arts education<\/strong><\/b>.\u00a0 We support thousands of youth each year through three programs: the Community Grants program, Emeril\u2019s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen, and the Aar\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez Impact Fund.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Fundraising is a crucial part of the Foundation\u2019s efforts and essential to achieving its mission. Funding for the Foundation\u2019s programs is provided through individual and corporate donations and annual fundraising events. Each fall, the Foundation hosts its signature annual fundraising weekend, which includes the black-tie gala and top ranked charity wine auction,\u00a0Carnivale du Vin<\/strong><\/b>. In the spring, the Foundation hosts\u00a0Line, Vine & Dine<\/strong><\/b>, a weekend fishing tournament in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the\u00a0Throwdown Weekend<\/strong><\/b>, a spirited BBQ competition in Walton County, FL. In the summer, the Foundation hosts\u00a0Fueling the Future<\/strong><\/b>, a golf tournament and gala in The Woodlands, TX.<\/p>

Position Description:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>

The\u00a0Event Coordinator<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0will support the\u00a0Director of Events<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0Advancement Team<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0in executing event logistics, including chef and wine activations, vendor coordination, auction development, and onsite event support. This role involves administrative responsibilities essential to maintaining an efficient and well-organized advancement department. The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in event coordination, high-end customer service and hospitality. Exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and strong writing skills are key to success in this role. As an integral part of the foundation team, this position collaborates closely with the\u00a0Advancement Team<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0to ensure seamless event execution and donor engagement.<\/p>

  • Event & Vendor Logistics<\/strong><\/b><\/li><\/ul>

    o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in Wine Activations (travel, shipping\/receiving, product organization, onsite logistics)<\/p>

    o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in Sponsor Activations (travel, rentals, onsite logistics)<\/p>

      • Coordinate\u00a0hotel blocks, air travel and ground transportation for chefs, wines, sponsors<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

        o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Organize and execute Hospitality Suites on-site<\/p>

        o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in updating event production schedules<\/p>

        o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support vendor logistics and coordination<\/p>

          • Travel to fundraising event weekends, approximately 4-5 times per year<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Lead Silent & Super Silent Auction development<\/p>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Manage silent and super lot item solicitation, receiving, inventorying, and onsite setup<\/p>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Write silent auction lot descriptions, including images\/logos in Greater Giving (GG)<\/p>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Oversee post-auction follow-ups, including winner connections and item shipping<\/p>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Manage tracking of auction redemption trips and redemption coordination with guests<\/p>

              o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Handle auction redemption for Super Silent and Live Wine Lots<\/p>

              • Sponsorship & Hospitality Support<\/strong><\/b><\/li><\/ul>

                o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist with hospitality packets and mailings<\/p>

                o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support in-kind sponsor coordination<\/p>

                o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Track in-kind event donations (auction items & beverages)<\/p>

                o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support advancement team with stewardship touchpoints and tasks<\/p>

                o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Handle various administrative and logistical tasks, including procurement, deliveries, and special assignments as needed.<\/p>

                    Skills and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>

                    \u00a0<\/p>

                    • BA or BS degree preferred<\/li>
                    • 3-5 years in event coordination, logistics, or administration required<\/li>
                    • Nonprofit experience or volunteerism preferred<\/li>
                    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)<\/li>
                    • CMS or CRM experience preferred; Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge & Greater Giving being a plus<\/li>
                    • Strong verbal & written communication skills required<\/li>
                    • Ability to manage projects independently<\/li>
                    • Deadline-driven, organized, & detail-oriented<\/li>
                    • Proactive & problem-solving mindset<\/li><\/ul>
                      • Professional demeanor and conduct<\/li><\/ul>

                          This is a salaried, full-time position averaging 40-45 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.\u00a0 A resident of greater New Orleans area is required. Some travel, nights and weekends are required in association with fundraising event weekends or representing the foundation at various functions. \u00a0<\/p>
