Working under the direction of account leads, this position provides hands-on experience across multiple communications disciplines while developing foundational agency skills. This paid internship is designed for students entering their final year or emerging professionals interested in pursuing a career in public relations and communications.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Successful interns will leave with a portfolio of work, exposure to agency client service and practical experience that prepares them for entry-level communications positions.<\/p>\n<p>\u202f\u00a0<em><strong>\u202f\u202f<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Learning Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-bullet\">\n<li class=\"\" value=\"1\">Assist with drafting press releases, media alerts, talking points and speaker briefs<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"2\">Supports research for media relations, community relations and client projects<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"3\">Assists with award nominations and supporting materials<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"4\">Creates graphics and social media assets under direction using Canva, CapCut and similar platforms<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"5\">Maintains media and community databases as assigned<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"6\">Supports client events and community engagement activities<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"7\">Assists with Gambel social media content<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" value=\"8\">Participates in staff meetings, brainstorming sessions and agency professional development opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Individuals who will be the most successful at this role will have experience with media writing, social media content\u00a0curation\u00a0and graphic design using either InDesign or Canva.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong writing skills with familiarity with AP style<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience using Microsoft Office and Canva; Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut or photography\/videography skills are a plus<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Interest in public relations, media relations and social media<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work at least 20 hours per week in person during designated office hours<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to receive direction, ask questions and collaborate effectively with team members<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internship Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Paid internship<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum three-month commitment<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 20 hours per week<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and\/or Friday<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Availability outside of work hours for media appearances and shadowing opportunities as they arise<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Our\u00a0Culture\u00a0<\/strong>\u202f\u00a0<br \/>The Gambel Communications office was intentionally designed to foster collaboration and creativity.
