Nicholls Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band

Dr. Jason Ladd, Director

The Nicholls Wind Ensemble is the premiere concert band on campus. It is an auditioned group made up of both music majors and majors from throughout the university. It performs on three concerts throughout the year as well as at both academic commencements. The ensemble often performs with soloists and commissioned compositions.

The Nicholls Symphonic Band performs on two concerts each Spring semester. The group is open to any Nicholls student who has played their instrument in high school band.

Both bands rehearse Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the spring semester. Members of  both organizations also receive a financial stipend.
