Self-esteem workshop offered

THIBODAUX – What is self-esteem? Where does it originate? How does it affect our decisions in life? In a continuing education class offered at Nicholls State University, participants will explore these questions and other issues that contribute to positive and negative feelings, behaviors and relationships.The four-week workshop will help participants gain self-knowledge and self -awareness, and develop practical strategies for improving self-esteem to positively affect all areas in life.

The workshop leader, Dr. Frances Robichaux, has a Ph.D. in counselor education. She is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor, a licensed marriage and family therapist and a registered nurse.  She currently works with both adults and children as a full-time mental health counselor.

Dr. Robichaux has over 30 years of experience teaching and helping others understand self-esteem issues.  She combines her knowledge and understanding of human behavior to help her students bring about effective change and improve their lives.

The workshop will meet on Wednesdays, Nov. 12, 19, Dec. 3 and 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The fee is $75. Call the Office of Continuing Education at (985) 448-4534 for further information.
