Nicholls welcomes hundreds for ‘Move-In Day’

Hundreds of Nicholls State University students spent Saturday, Aug. 18, moving into their on-campus residence halls with the help of family, friends and residence life staff members and volunteers.

Nearly 840 students arrived on opening day, a 32-percent increase from fall 2011. Others continue to arrive on a daily basis, with classes beginning Wednesday, Aug. 23. In all, 1,426 students are expected to occupy campus housing facilities.
