Hebert Inc. (MPH), a Houma-based surveying and engineering company, donated funds for five $1,000 annual scholarships to benefit Nicholls State University geomatics students. \u201cThe geomatics program is an asset to Nicholls and the profession,\u201d said Morris P. Hebert, MPH chief executive officer and president. \u201cWe\u2019ve had great students work internships with us in the summer, and we\u2019ve hired quite a number of them full time. We\u2019re lucky to have the only program in the state here at Nicholls and want to continue to support it.\u201d Hebert was part of the group that helped bring the geomatics program, now in its 10th year, to Nicholls.
