{"id":59,"date":"2007-10-16T13:23:06","date_gmt":"2007-10-16T18:23:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2007\/10\/16\/stroll-for-student-athlete-scholarships-set-for-nov-10\/"},"modified":"2007-10-16T13:23:06","modified_gmt":"2007-10-16T18:23:06","slug":"stroll-for-student-athlete-scholarships-set-for-nov-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2007\/10\/16\/stroll-for-student-athlete-scholarships-set-for-nov-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Stroll for Student Athlete Scholarships Set for Nov. 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THIBODAUX \u00e2\u20ac\u201c The community is invited to take a morning stroll around the Nicholls State University campus and help raise funds for student-athlete scholarships at the fourth annual Stroll for Student Athletes on Saturday, Nov.10.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Participants can walk, jog or run the approximately 30- to 40-minute route around campus that begins and ends at the Bollinger Memorial Student Union.<\/p>\n<p>Registration and check in will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the fund-raising stroll will begin at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $10 per participant, which includes a T-shirt and breakfast. In addition to individual participants, teams can register with a minimum of $100 or more in solicited donations. Three levels of corporate sponsorships are available: $100 (Team Sponsor), $250 (Gray Sponsor) or $500 (Red Sponsor).<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The stroll is a fun way for the community to get involved and help us raise much needed funds for scholarships,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Louise \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Do\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Bonin, associate director of athletics and chair of the stroll, said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153All of the funds raised go directly to student-athlete scholarships.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The Stroll for Student-Athlete Scholarships is sponsored by Enterprise Rent-a-Car and will be held in conjunction with Family Day.
