{"id":6465,"date":"2018-02-21T16:43:20","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T22:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=6465"},"modified":"2018-02-21T16:43:20","modified_gmt":"2018-02-21T22:43:20","slug":"nicholls-alumni-federation-announces-new-culinary-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2018\/02\/21\/nicholls-alumni-federation-announces-new-culinary-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicholls Alumni Federation announces new culinary group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; The Nicholls State University Alumni Federation and Chef John Folse Culinary Institute have announced a new alumni group aiming to reconnect members of the school\u2019s popular degree program.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur alumni got the full college experience as a student, so it\u2019s important that they continue that experience after they graduate,\u201d said Hillary Charpentier, outreach and recruitment coordinator and Chef John Folse Culinary Institute alum. \u201cThis group should allow recent graduates to be able to network, and help bring successful graduates back to campus for cooking demos or lectures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Culinary alumni group joins the College of Business Administration and College of Education as degree-specific subgroups of the Nicholls Alumni Federation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe Nicholls Alumni Federation is all about involving, collaborating and keeping up with our former students,\u201d interim Alumni Federation Director Katherine Gianelloni said. \u201cChef John Folse Culinary Institute graduates work all over the globe but still remain such a close-knit group. This is a way for them to remain even more connected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Members of the group will have the ability connect with other culinary graduates as well as be eligible for all other federation membership benefits.
