Ramachandran, coordinator of Geomatics and\u00a0<\/span>Contractors Educational Trust Fund Endowed Professor of\u00a0applied sciences,\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and Dr. Terry Dantin, professor emeritus, celebrated the New Orleans Tricentennial at an event hosted by the Surveyors Historical Society and District One of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors at Louis Armstrong Park. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Held on Friday, Sept. 14, the students reenacted important events in the city\u2019s history, including the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">proclamation by LaSalle claiming Louisiana for France, an 18th-century ceremony known as \u201cbeat of the bounds,\u201d and a demonstration of the ancient French surveying
