Master’s of Curriculum and Instruction

The reading concentration arms educators with the skills needed to implement effective reading programs, assess and correct reading disabilities, and utilize innovative methods and materials to promote literacy in schools and communities.  This program opens the door to several school and district level job opportunities including Literacy Coach, Reading Consultant and Reading Interventionist.

Candidates wishing to enter the Curriculum and Instruction program should possess a bachelor’s or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution; a minimum GPA of 2.50 (last 60 hours of coursework); and a valid teaching certificate.
