The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Nicholls State University will be celebrating the 17th Annual showcase of student and faculty research and creative activity on April 13 and 14, 2022.  The event highlights cutting-edge research and fascinating discoveries at Nicholls through faculty poster presentations and student poster competition showcasing graduate and undergraduate research, Humanities Symposium, Performing Arts concert, Visual Arts Exhibition, and a Culinary Arts demo and research presentations.
More than 50 Nicholls State University students will show off their research on topics like antibiotic resistant bacteria in Louisiana waters, Native American Art and Museums, influence of soil composition on common herbicides in Southeast Louisiana soils, and contaminants in sludge following Hurricane Ida. Winners selected in all competitions receive a scholarship stipend.
