Mike has been working in the upstream petroleum industry since 1976 and currently manages an exploration and production consulting business. During the course his career he has worked for Major Independents and has been directly involved in drilling over 200 wells in the  Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and the offshore Gulf of Mexico.
As a professional member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG), New Orleans Geological Society, Houston Geological Society, Southeastern Geophysical Society and the Geological Society of America, Mike is involved in all aspects of the petroleum industry.   He is an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist and Past President and Honorary Life Member of the New Orleans Geological Society. He is active in the Gulf Coast oil and gas community and has served as Editor for several professional transactions and has authored and co-authored technical papers.
