Dr. Donovan Soignet was recognized as an outstanding alumni of the College of Arts and Sciences on October 29, 2005, at the Homecoming Alumni Reception. Dr. Donovan Soignet completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1998. He received several chemistry awards and was on the Dean’s List every semester he attended. He was admitted into the LSU School of Dentistry.

Upon graduating from LSU in 2002, he received the Robert F. Eastman Award for clinical and didactic excellence in dentistry. He was accepted into the orthodontic residency program at the LSU dental school where only 4 students are accepted per year. He graduated from this program in 2004 and received the highest award given by the program, the James P. Bordelon Award for clinical and didactic excellence in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Soignet resides in Thibodaux with his wife, Kelly Rodrigue Soignet. He has practices in Thibodaux and Mathews, where he gives “everyone who walks through his office a reason to smile.”
