Select the term to register. Once there, you can check your registration status and see any holds that prevent registration.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>Registration<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>Register for Classes<\/strong> to search and register for classes. You will also be able to manage your schedule.<\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>Navigating Action Item Processing<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p>You will have to accept the Financial Responsibility Obligation Agreement (FROA) for each new registration cycle through Action Item Processing. Clicking the <strong>Register for Classes<\/strong> link will automatically open Action Item Processing when you have pending action items.<\/p><ul><li>Once the Action Item box opens, click <strong>CONTINUE<\/strong> on the Action Item Processing box.<\/li><li>Click on the appropriate Action Item still showing as Pending, and follow the applicable directions. (For FROA, once the information has been reviewed, check the \u201cI accept the terms of this agreement.\u201d box, and click Save.)<\/li><li>Only once all Action Items have been processed and changed to Completed will you be able to continue and register for courses.<\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>How to Register for Classes<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3><h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Adding a Class<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><ol><li>On the Registration homepage, select <strong>Register for Classes<\/strong>.<\/li><li>From the dropdown menu, select the intended term for registration and click continue.<\/li><\/ol><p>NOTE: If your scheduled day or time has not yet been reached for your classification or grouping, you will see an error reading \u201cTime tickets prevent registration at this time.\u201d\u00a0 Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/register\/departmental-telephone-directory-for-registration-assistance\/\">Schedule of Classes\/Registration<\/a> web page for registration information.<\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li>There are several options available:<ul><li><em><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Find Classes<\/strong><\/span><\/em><ul><li><em>Basic Search<\/em> criteria include Subject, Course Number, and Keyword.<\/li><li><em>Advanced Search<\/em> includes additional course search criteria for Instructor, Attribute (for textbook cost), Level, College, Department, Schedule Type (for online\/hybrid), Part of Term, and the Open Sections Only checkbox.<\/li><li>Clicking the Course Title will display additional course information, such as: Class Details, Course Description, Instructor\/Meeting Times, Additional Fees, Prerequisites, and other relevant course information.<\/li><li>From the search results, find the course you would like to add to your schedule.<\/li><li>To add a course to your schedule, click the Add button.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Enter CRNs<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>To add a class using the CRN (Course Reference Number), enter the CRN to register.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Plans<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>If you have already built a Registration Plan using the Plan Ahead feature, you will see and be able to <strong>Edit<\/strong> your previously created plans.<\/li><li>You have the option to either <strong>Add All<\/strong> courses at once or <strong>Add<\/strong> courses individually from a plan.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"4\"><li>View your added courses in the <strong>Summary<\/strong> section. You must click the <strong>Submit<\/strong> button to register your added courses.<\/li><li>Registration error checking will occur at the time of registration. Error messages such as time conflict or section closed may appear in the top right hand corner of your screen. To clear the messages, click submit. Questions related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/register\/registration-error-messages\/\">registration errors<\/a> may be addressed at the department or dean&#8217;s level for the course. Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/register\/departmental-telephone-directory-for-registration-assistance\/\">Department Telephone Directory for Registration Assistance<\/a>.<\/li><li>Check <strong>Conditional Add and Drop<\/strong> when you want to drop a course from your schedule only on the \u201ccondition\u201d that you are able to add a new course to your schedule without error.<\/li><\/ol><h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Dropping a Class <\/strong><\/span><\/h5><ol><li>If you need to remove a class before the end of the drop\/add period, navigate to the <strong>Summary <\/strong>section on the bottom right.<\/li><li>Under the <strong>Action<\/strong> column, click the dropdown menu on the course you wish to remove and select <strong>Web Drop\/Delete. <\/strong><\/li><li>Click the <strong>Submit<\/strong> button to finalize the schedule adjustment. The course(s) will be removed from your schedule.<\/li><\/ol><h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>Browsing for Courses<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3><ol><li>Click on the <strong>Student Registration<\/strong> tile from the myNicholls website.<\/li><li>Click on the <strong>Browse Classes <\/strong>button<strong>.<\/strong> Once in the course search screen, select the desired semester from the dropdown menu.<\/li><\/ol><h5><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Searching for Classes<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><ul><li><strong><em>Basic Search<\/em><\/strong> criteria include Subject, Course Number, and Keyword.<\/li><li><strong><em>Advanced Search<\/em><\/strong> includes additional course search criteria for Instructor, Attribute (for textbook cost), Level, College, Department, Schedule Type (for online\/hybrid), Part of Term, and the Open Sections Only checkbox.<\/li><li>You will see all the courses that meet your search criteria.<\/li><li>Clicking a Course Title will display additional course information, such as: Class Details, Course Description, Instructor\/Meeting Times, Additional Fees, Prerequisites, and other relevant course information.<\/li><\/ul><h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>Using Registration Plans<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3><ul><li>Plans allow you to build your ideal schedule for a future term.<\/li><li>You can save up to three plans for each term.<\/li><li>When registration opens for that term, you can register directly from your plan.<\/li><\/ul><h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Creating a Plan<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><ul><li>Log into the myNicholls website using your myNicholls ID and password at <a href=\"https:\/\/my.nicholls.edu\/home\">my.nicholls.edu<\/a>.<\/li><li>Click on the <strong>Student Registration <\/strong>tile.<\/li><li>Once in the Registration application:<\/li><\/ul><ol><li>Click on the <strong>Plan Ahead <\/strong>link to create a Registration Plan. Select the term for which to plan your schedule.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>Create a New Plan<\/strong>.
