Post Office Goals and Assestments

2015 Goals

Goal (1):
Try to set up means of Credit Card acceptance for goods and services provided to customers by the Nicholls Post Office.

Strategy: Make contact with the appropriate office to establish credit card payment acceptance.

Assessment: Increase sales and productivity by providing credit card acceptance.

Student Outcome: TBA

Goal (2):
Continuing to increase Nicholls Post Office box rentals.

Strategy: Make Nicholls Post Office information more available to new incoming students.

Assessment: Increase brochure/flyer distribution to necessary personnel to make students aware of the benefits of having a Nicholls Post Office box.

Student Outcome:  TBA

Goal (3):
Renovate Post Office.

Strategy: Provide needed updates to the Nicholls Post Office to make appearance more appealing to students/customers.

Assessment: Update lobby area to create a welcoming environment and user friendly lobby.

Student Outcome: TBA

 

2014 Goals with Student Outcomes

Goal (1):
Educate Students on how to use the Post Office efficiently. To aid in in their mail services such as incoming and outgoing mail/packages.

Strategy: To make the Post Office information more available to new/current incoming students.

Assessment: Continue to distribute brochures at events such as Welcome Back Day and Orientations.

Student Outcome: Brochures were given out at Welcome Back Day and the webpage was updated to provide current information.

Goal (2):
Establish a more consistent time for drop off of incoming mail in the morning.

Strategy: Set up appointment date with main Post Office on Canal Blvd. to discuss procedures concerning the delivery of incoming mail to campus.

Assessment: Be able to to distribute mail on a more consistent time frame.

Student Outcome:  Increased consistency times of mail delivered to students/departments on campus.

Goal (3):
To update the Daily Operational Manual for the Nicholls Post Office.

Strategy: Review Daily Operational Manual to insure efficient and effectiveness of daily operation of the Nicholls Post Office.

Assessment: Finalize procedure manual/checklist.

Student Outcome: Increase overall effectiveness of the Nicholls Post Office.

Goal (4):
Renovate Post Office.

Strategy: Provide needed updates to the Nicholls Post Office to make appearance more appealing to students/customers.

Assessment: Update lobby area to create a welcoming environment and user friendly lobby.

Student Outcome: Unable to complete due to budget restrictions.

 

2013 Goals with Student Outcomes

Goal (1):
Increase budget to meet operational needs of the Post Office.

Strategy: Not to have to rely on emergency measures to purchase supplies for day to day operations.

Assessment: Provide a list of supplies needed for day to day operation. Banner documentation.

Student Outcome: To be come a more efficiently run office not relying on others for budget assistance.

Goal (2):
Increase Student box rentals.

Strategy: Make Nicholls Post Office information more available to new incoming students.

Assessment: Provide Nicholls Post Office brochures to Admissions, Orientation groups and incoming student events informing new students of services provided by the Nicholls Post Office to increase rentals and income.

Student Outcome:  Brochures were distributed for Welcome Back Day and had an increase box rental of 170 boxes.

Student Outcome: Unable to complete due to budget restrictions.
